Avis Preferred Profile issues

Angry Avis Preferred Profile issues

Hi all,
I reserved a car with Avis before I set up my profile. While I was entering all the info it would not take my credit card, a card that is valid. I order to get past that, I entered my debit card info which it took. The car was paid with my credit card so I do not know why the profile would not accept that information. Two calls to customer service were in vain. Does anyone know what is going on with Avis????

Can't answer what's happening but ifbyou go to any Avis counter, they can update your profile with the card of your choice. Make sure they know you want the profile updated and not just swapping cards for *that* ressie.

Welcome to FlyerTalk, farmer01.

To change the credit card in your Avis Wizard profile, you have to go an Avis rental outlet counter and show them card, since they need to physically see the card to update it. If its a visit to pick up a car in another reservation, I presume you'd have to take your Avis membership card or if you don't have one a printout of your Avis membership number from online.
