Thank you so much for posting these! I am actually an American Bar Association member, yet didn't know about the Budget discount code. I've used it and was able to save $20/day on a weekend rental of an intermediate SUV.
YAY! :-:

I've discovered a very interesting link; it appears to be a resource intended for Budget's own customer service reps:
https://www.budget.com/bvr/web/html/...D_Numbers.html
Even more interesting material can be found by clicking the "return to BVR home" link on that page; for example:
https://www.budget.com/bvr/web/html/...promo_log.html
https://www.budget.com/bvr/web/html/..._POWERDRV.html
(The second one gives a bunch of nice coupon codes while also explaining how to "capture the reservation, and ultimately the rental, by making the customer feel that they are receiving a special value and that we care about their business.")
There is also good, detailed information about rental policies around the world, and this helpful guide to staying in shape:
https://www.budget.com/bvr/web/html/...ergocizes.html
Anyway, I found much of it quite interesting and revealing; I don't know how long it will remain open like this, but I highly recommend taking a look.

Who is this discount intended for? I just made a reservation using it and I just want to make sure it it not for some obscure group like the Arkansas association of one armed basket weavers.
BTW, I saved about $500 on a two week rental over what Orbitz was showing.

For the past year, I've been frequently using my USAA discount number will great success, averaging about 20 to 25% off. I tried it first with this rez and the prices INCREASED 25%. Weird. I haven't had time to plug all the BCDs in to see what works best. Frankly, I enjoyed the USAA number since it was so simple to get a good rate. I don't want to go back to the "bad old days" of spending 15 minutes swapping BCDs on their website.

Has anyone ever been denied a rental price for failure to provide ID confirming the legit use of the codes?

Does anyone know what's up with X474200 ?
I checked it out on Budget, and it gives me around a $200 discount on a minivan for an almost 6 day rental.
Are they going to ask me for identification of some sort? Does anyone know where this code comes from?

My concern is that the Travelocity website doesn't offer nearly the same quote as I get using this code - so what's the connection, and is there a chance of being asked for some sort of ID?
