Avis Boson

My rental's battery went dead on me, so I called the RoadSide assistance hotline. The guy said that he would send someone out here to jumpstart the car and it would take 1-1 1/2 hour. I asked very nicely for a new car instead, he refused and he kind of accused me of leaving some lights on. After an hour or so, a very nice guy showed up and he jump started the car, and testdrove it for a bit. However, the car won't start anymore when he try to restatert the car again. He suggested me to go back to Logan and get a new car, thinking that I may get a better one, i said okay. After a few minutes the Avis Rep told me that after talking to his supervisor, he will exchange his car to me and take $25 off for the rental. Well, at least I don't have to fight the traffic to get to the BOS, and $25 is not really anything. I really did not enjoy talkig to the Avis Roadside Helpline Rep, but this Field service rep was actually a pretty nice guy.

I am sitting here wondering when am i so unlucky lately with Avis should I switch???

A former co-worker of mine picked up a rental car at O'Hare in winter, didn't notice the gas gauge read empty and ended up stranded during a snowstorm by the side of the interstate. She had a petit mal seizure and was incoherent when the police came and arrested her for suspicion of drug use. Do you think she should keep renting cars from the same agency?

I think that is a very bad situation. She should not rent from them ... unless they apologize. I do not think it was 100% of the auto companies fault. but they shoudl make some offer.. for such a bad situation!!!
