TK award ticket booked with LifeMiles shows “awaiting for payment”

TK award ticket booked with LifeMiles shows “awaiting for payment”

Booked 2 TK award tickets in I class using LifeMiles for IST-SFO in 2024.

Trying to check the reservation and select seats on TK mobile app but got the error message “Dear passenger,
You cannot sign in using the reservation code (PNR) as your reservation which is still awaiting payment has not been made through our online services.
[OB-2010]”

should I be concerned?

Have you paid/your card has been charged? Ticket has been issued?

If yes, I wouldn't worry about it. It is quite normal for TK website and app to be unable to show reservations made with others than TK.

yes, LifeMiles has charged my credit card and confirmed my reservation and tickets. However, when I contacted TK to confirm and they said the tickets are not issued.

I called LifeMiles again and they don’t know what happened. Opened a case and waiting.

Seems like Lifemiles has trouble booking tickets on TK? This isn't the first datapoint we've had with TK issues.

I have had that a few times but in the end it always turned out OK. To get a seat assignment call TK. They may also give you a hard time but in the end usually it works.

That's good to know! I did contact TK and they said the tickets are not issued and no passenger information. Then I contact Lifemiles again and they said the tickets are confirmed. Not sure what to do now.

With TK it's a pain. If you have a ticket number - just wait. You could also call TK and check if they can find your ticket by name, date and route. Don't tell them it's an LM award.

If you have the e-ticket numbers fot the reservation, then you should be able to use the e-ticket number to pull up your reservation and select seats.

Most of the time that doesn't seem to work.

If TK does not see the e-ticket number in its Troy system you will not be able to travel. If the e-ticket really exists a smart agent will know how to attach it to the Troy PNR. But most agents will not know/care and will send you to AV to clarify. I would call TK again, reconfirm they do not indeed see the ticket. Then I would call AV to ask them to work with TK to have the ticket attached to the TK PNR. Do not leave for the last minute.

Ohhh BTW as this is a ticket from the US - TK requires full Secure Flight info - not only DOB. TK will reject any ticket without full data like passport number, expiry date etc. So your ticket might hang somewhere after being rejected by TK.
