japan to borneo

HIS in tokyo is offering a trip to Borneo staying at a 5-star hotel (3 nights ) for 39,900 yen. Trouble is that the single supplement is twice that and I want to go alone. Are there any sites that are on the Internet that offer something along these lines.

Hardly any Japanese travel agents advertize in English, while non-Japanese ones do not market packages ex-Japan, for obvious reasons.

For Japan-Asia travel, I find the best deals either involve purchasing early through HIS or one of its competitors, or using up 20/30K miles from a North American FFP.

If you can find a good fare to KUL, you'll find domestic travel (both transportation and lodging) in Malaysia is extremely inexpensive. Paying less than 2 x Y39,900 while making your own arrangements shouldn't be difficult.

In particular, if you get to KUL check out Air Asia (http://www.airasia.com) for super-cheap no-frills fares to all over Borneo. You can even fly to SIN, waddle across the border to Johor Bahru (JHB) and fly on with AK, but this would be quite a hassle with luggage.
