Question DPS-KUL-DPS day return!?

Hi, looking for advice on a visa related visit to KUL (Indonesia Immigration made a mess and might need to leave the country to obtain a new visa (visa on arrival). So the cheapest flights are DPS-KUL return. I could even go in one day and back. Here is my question:

Is there any requirement to enter Malaysia (pass immigration) or could I just checkin online after arrival - without luggage and hop on the next flight back with Air Asia?!
Thanks (EU passport)

Don't know about KUL, but what about SIN? A bit closer and faster. You could certainly do it there.

If you have a boarding pass you don't need to pass through immigration, and that's the advice on the KLIA website: https://airports.malaysiaairports.co...light-transfer

SIN will be much of muchness if on AirAsia or Jetstar since since departing and arriving pax are kept seperate in T4 (unlike T1/T2/T3).

Thank you, so in KUL there is no need to pass through immigration, flying Air Asia there and back?

Can't say I've ever connected at KLIA2 (though AK/D7 do offer protected connections there) but you're assuming Air Asia (AK, D7, QZ) will allow you to check in and print the BP for the return flight so you can get through transit security (if it does exist) and to the return flight gate. I do know it's definitely possible at KUL T1 where you can walk up to the connecting (or in tour case, return) gate w/o a boarding pass..

Thanks, I managed to get the Immigration in Indonesia to fix the error on my visa, and it appears I no longer need to do this visa run. Thanks for your input, hope it helps someone else
