Airfare to HAN more expensive than SGN?
I'm planning a trip to Hanoi during the time between Christmas and New Year. It seems that from Southeast Asia, tickets to HAN are considerably more expensive than going to SGN.
Is there a particular reason going to HAN is much more expensive???

Hanoi's diplomatic and administrative status probably generates a healthy mix of traffic with low sensitivity to ticket prices.
Saigon is more saturated with carriers and capacity, creating competition
Saigon competes with other SE Asia destinations for tourists
plus,
Look at a map, Hanoi is around 1,000 km from Saigon, as the crow flies

Bear in mind that it is fairly cool in that period. Certainly chilly enough in the morning to wear something over. `did you check Vietjet prices?
