Kazakhstan entry requirements

Hi everyone,

I find myself in Georgia and I'm considering to go to Kazakhstan. There seems to be a lot of conflicting info out there about the requirement of PCR tests. It seems that if you are vaccinated in one of the approved countries (UK is one of them), you do not need a PCR test. However, the vaccination may or may not be valid for more than 6 months after the last dose.

I had a rather lengthy chat with one of the AirAstana agents over whatsapp. He claimed that foreign vaccine passports are not subject to the 6 months validity rule imposed on Kazakh vaccine passports.

Has anyone been successful entering with a recognized foreign vaccine passport that was more than 6 months old?

This is the text from the AirAstana website, it is the closest to official guidelines that I got:

Passengers arriving to Kazakhstan from the foreign countries must have a negative PCR test certificate (no more than 72 hours should pass from the date of issue of the result till the moment of crossing the border of the Republic of Kazakhstan). PCR test certificate must be in English, Russian or Kazakh languages.

Exceptions:

Children under the age of 5.
Citizens of Kazakhstan and persons with residence permit in Kazakhstan who have been revaccinated or fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or in the Republic of Kazakhstan upon providing a documentary confirmation (no more than 6 months must have passed since the second component was received at the time of crossing the border of the Republic of Kazakhstan)
Foreign passengers who can provide a vaccination passport/certificate against COVID-19 recognised as valid on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. All vaccine types are accepted as long as it was issued by countries listed below.

Recognised vaccination passports of the following countries: Argentine, Belize, Brazil, Bolivia, Great Britain, Hong Kong, Hungary, Georgia, Indonesia,Iran, Jordan, Canada, Kyrgyz Republic, Maldives, Mongolia, Armenia, Belgium, Belarus, Moldova, Peru, San Marino, Serbia, Tunisia, Spain, India, Philippines, Thailand, Turkey, Montenegro, Czech Republic, Sri Lanka, Ecuador, Estonia, Japan and Uzbekistan.

Thanks for the links, I knew caravanistan already . I actually posted there as well. I read through all the recent posts and it seems that no one has entered on a vaccine certificate since they published this rule yet, so I am curious if it works. Information is somewhat sparse on this.
