Sorry, Ashkale, I don't have experience doing this, but PLEASE let us know how it turns out. Recently, I purchased and flew PNH-KUL-NRT-LAX in C. Bought starting in PNH b/c such a cheap fare. Of course, I would have loved to do a turn around in PNH, but didn't think it was possible, so I just overnighted. Let me know if it works for you!

I don't think there is a possibility to do an international transfer in PNH, meaning that the OP will need to pass immigration twice (and to obtain a visa-on-arrival or apply before for a visa/e-visa). Or maybe you need to ask specifically to the staff when disembarking in PNH, but I don't recall any sign or specific flow for such a transfer.

Not possible. You need at least 2.5 hours in between flights subject to immigration flow and walk out from the terminal then turn around.
My last flight the luggage has been slow-ish to come out from the belt.
30 minutes from the jet bridge to the departure check-in facility is doable but depends on the visa-on-arrival facility (no queue at immigration but chaotic queues likely in VOA counter). Unless you do not need visa and do not have check-in luggage then you are still subject to check-in cut-off time.
There are cheap hotels in PNH, stay one night will not add too much cost. Cheers.

I have flown VTE-PNH-SGN on VN a few years back and we deplaned at PNH and were escorted to a stairway back up to the departure level to re-embark on the same plane without any immigration formalities. However, that was all part of the intended plan for that particular route and there were several other passengers in our little "transit group" so they were obviously prepared for us to do just that. I kind of suspect doing a strait turnaround would be liable to confuse everyone at the airport and thus yield very unpredictable results.

There is typically a guard or two and a metal detector in that area. Under what circumstances or flights one can use it is well beyond my ken.

Anyway, these 'direct' flights might well be the reason there is transfer security but it's little used.

There absolutely is a transfer 'area'. While I've never used it, nor seen anyone using it, it allows access to the terminal adjacent to Monument Books.

I can confirm that there is a clear transfers area at PNH on arrival up the escalator- there are a few officials hanging around there and there is a board pointing to the transfers area.
Also for anyone doing runs from REP- NO DAY TRIPS are allowed in REP... Except for Multiple entry Business visa holders.

Could be a one off, I grant you. Not implying it's the norm, but just saying it has been done.

Actually, I did do this. Turned around on MH in REP before clearing immigration. They took me to a corridor that led to departures, took my passport and came back 10 minutes later with my boarding pass.

Hi I guess time to bring up this old thread.
So I am doing a transit on two separate tickets in PNH with 1.5 hours.
MH: KUL - PNH
KA: PNH - HKG
Think I will be OK and able to stay air-side all the while?

OT: The cynic in me would think you'd be forced through immi just to further pad the pockets of those in a mad dash to do so fearing an election loss. This is based upon nothing but the current MO.

Please follow the discussion as the thread moves to the Asia forum, since the discussion focuses more on the logistics at PNH, than the airline(s) used to go to/from. Ocn Vw 1K, Senior Moderator.
