Chablis is a DOC.... so that designation, if found on an Argentine wine... is illegal !!

As for a $6 peso wine being passable.... that goes to saying what the average quality of the Wines of Argentina is like... ^

Sam
whisky
whiskey

both categories have some stuff that is very well made, btw... ^

and regardless of rivalries... the irish, canadian and american all have examples of fine stuff, no matter what the Scotsmen will tell you... though Scotland is still the Mecca for these things...

as I understand it, whisky means water of life in Gaelic.

Alex, maybe you had a wee bit too much of vino tinto prior to posting that non-sense about Scotland being the Mecca First of all, you will bring down the wrath of Al-Qaeda on FT for mentioning booze with the holy city of Mecca but your absolute failure to realize that Kentucky is the epicenter for the primo whiskey of all Bourbon

This should put this topic to rest once and for all now.

suerte
