La Nacion is reporting that next week, the city will open a small museum that exhibits a portion of the Colon´s history and various artifacts, etc.

Not even a visitng orchestra conductor (me) could arrange for even a quick peak inside last month. Looks like I'll just have to go back to see the museum or wait until 2010 when the hall is offcially opened again.

Maestro JJoe-- I would suggest that you use your orchestra connections to contact the Culture Secretary for the City of Buenos Aires... the office of the Secretary should be able to get you access next time you visit.
