I am transiting thru EZE from a DL flight to an AR flight to SSA (Brazil) with a five hour connection. I had a few questions Wikipedia says that DL operates from terminal C and AR operates from terminal B & C. I see that the AR EZE-SSA flight has used C for the last few days. Is it safe to expect terminal C?

If transiting within the same terminal will I need to pass immigration and security? This will be an international to international connection. I am an US passport holder. I read that customs is only upon exit of the terminal.

Are DL and AR at EZE normally reliable with interlining baggage?

Are you on the same ticket? If not, check your Skyteam rules for interlining on separate tickets.

Someone please correct me if I'm incorrect, but there's kind of no distinction between B and C. C has check-in for Skyteam (and maybe another stray), A has check-in for pretty much everyone else, they have separate entries to the airside area for int'l departures, and the new gate area is in "B", but you will no longer find a landside B. Nonetheless, you could have a gate in the "B" pier whether you checked in @ A or C. (All the new lounges, including the AR (Skyteam) Lounge is down "B." None-nonetheless, gates don't have a letter attached to the number, so it will not be confusing.

If you (hopefully) don't need to retrieve your bag and go through arrival/departure formalities, there's a transit security station, which will be your only int'l - int'l transit formality.

B is the old AR terminal which is now closed , I think ( It still exists but it is not used)

C is the current terminal for AR and Skyteam

A is for everyone else..

Airside , everything is conncected . I imagine that when you arrive you will be able to do an ITI connection and you will come through security .

Hope you have status to use a lounge as its a long wait and there is not too much to do in EZE

You only clear Customs at EZE if your bags are atgged to EZE. As Eastbay says if you are on one ticket or your bags are tagged to SSA it shouldnt be a problem .

Maybe the DELTA call center is yr friend for this?

I really wish there were a wiki for this thread because I have a really simple/stupid question: what should I expect to pay for (and what's the best way to go about getting) a taxi from EZE to the Hotel Pestana at Carlos Pellegrini 877 around 10 PM on Dec. 26?

I emailed my hotel to ask how much a cab would cost and all they did was tell me that a hotel pickup would cost ARS 720, which seems like a heck of a lot.

If I am understanding things correctly, there are prepaid taxis available at EZE, right? I've done this in India, where you order/pay for the cab at a desk inside the airport, then hand the receipt to the driver. Is this the same sort of thing?

I also need to get to AEP the next morning--can I just plan to get a cab for that, and what might that cost? Just want to know how much cash I should get from the ATM.

I think the going rate is about $500 EZE --> City. There are booths inside the terminal, after you get your luggage and go through all formalities but prior to entering the general circulation area. They all take CCs. With the exception of Manuel Tienda Leon (more expensive), they are all generally the same price. Pay there, get your car outside. Someone will take you out to your car.

I'd expect with $200 you will have enough for your AEP taxi, but traffic can be pretty bad so the meter might be ticking as you just sit and sit on 9 de Julio.

Thanks very much for the info, much appreciated! I'll get ARS 500 from the ATM--that ought to cover things for my one day in USH also. I have four days in BsAs on my way back, but I've got no idea what I'll be doing yet.

If your bank reimburse your ATM fees, great. Bear in Mind the ATM fee is about $90 ARS.. for any amount up to about $2400 ARS (YMMV)

Good Lord. Thanks for that info. Maybe I'll try to do it all in one shot for the whole trip. I try to use CC's as much as possible but I will be taking a bunch of cab rides on this trip, so will need some cash. I guess I can always throw my remaining currency at my hotel bill at the end.
