Maybe I can go to Argentina in March 2021 after all!

So, they still haven't issued a new travel ban decree, and it ends on February 28th. If they don't do one ASAP, on this day, Sunday, could one theoretically fly to Argentina Monday morning without issue (and possibly even without COVID test!) ?

My flight is technically scheduled for March 26, but hot damn if they actually open up... or are just crazy last minute.

The travel ban has been extended to March 12th

The pattern up until now is to extend it for 2 or 3 week periods.

No reason to think that things will open up later this month.

I had heard that AEP will open up in March. Is this still true?

Yip only Argentine nationals and residents can use the flights .

Only about 25% of pre-Covid flights are operating.

Scheduled to reopen on 15th March following runway maintenance and extension. There has also been some work on the terminal building, especially at the international end. Some commentators say that regional flights to Uruguay , Brazil and Chile will not restart for another two weeks.

Argentina is, for practical purposes, shut again.

https://www.batimes.com.ar/news/arge...d-mexico.phtml

"According to the notice, signed by Cabinet Chief Santiago Cafiero, the country's borders will be closed for tourism, so anyone who is not Argentine or is not a resident of Argentina who wants to enter national territory for tourism purposes will no longer be able to do so.Travellers returning to Argentina from overseas will also face testing before boarding a flight, upon arrival and seven days after landing. The cost of all three PCR tests will be paid by those seeking to re-enter the country."
