The one time I had similar EZE transit, I was flying UA to LA - I went to the AA lounge (there's no LA rep there) and the AA agent called the LA desk, and they checked me in, and told me to get my BPs at the gate prior to boarding. (There were no attended LA gates when I first arrived). This was a few years' back so I don't know if it is any more advanced or not, but I'd head to the AA lounge first.

As an aside, make sure you are armed with your actual ticket numbers issued (and the latest updated ones if there have been any reissues since the initially-purchased ticket), especially if LA was NOT the issuing carrier.

Thanks very much Eastbay1K, I will follow this advice on all counts. As an aside, last time I checked in at LIM (traveling LIM-SCL-AKL) the check-in agent insisted that she could not check me in for the SCL-AKL leg. When I suggested that I have been able to do so in the past, she tapped away at her keyboard for a while and then checked me in. So polite persistance in AKL or SYD might help me here.

Back to the OP-
I last departed Monday night 1/17, zero delay at security and less than 5 minutes at immigration.
On the return, Monday morning 1/24, zero delay at immigration, and with no checked bags there was zero delay at customs- all lanes open with no waiting.

What concerns me more these days are the constant protests on the highways that take you to EZE.... if you are unlucky and have to catch a flight on a day that these bozos decide to protest whatever is on their minds it could get ugly. If this happens, I guess one can pray that if the toll roads are blocked, its also highly probable that the crews are also stuck in traffic, so at least most folks will probably not miss their flight (unless the crew goes illegal of course).....

Similar happened to us last time but on the way into town. All I wanted was my meat and wine and I had to wait about an hour longer than planned.

I'm amazed at the ease these people seem to be able to do such a thing.

So much as step one foot on to a motorway in the UK and the CCTV cameras will spot you in seconds, then the uniform brigade will be along to arrest you. I'm all for peaceful protests but the blocking of a major highway to put your message across should not be tolerated. No wonder they do it if they constantly get away with it.

Amen. I can only wish we had a similar police force here in Buenos Aires. If only the Federal Government would give Macri the Police Force that belongs to the City things could be different.......

I don't like to call them that. I just speak the truth. I wish I had something different to call them.

They were using part of it during the AEP closure and I have no idea what is going on since then. It looks all shiny and nice.
