Connecting a Mac to DSL or Wifi in BA

Connecting a Mac to DSL or Wifi in BA
The btyargentina website carries a warning that sometimes their clients who have macs have trouble connecting to the internet in BA. Does anyone have any first hand info about this? I would hate to have to take my heavy clunky windows laptop instead of my nice lightweight macbook.

Been here two years and never once have had a problem with DSL or WiFi.
That being said, some initial software that you need to setup the DSL router is PC only. If you're not configuring routers, you should have no problem.

Hi mccomb... welcome to the Argentina boards. Since you are a local resident, it would be great to have you around there boards more often, there are plenty of visitors that could use the advice of resident expats...

I've been living here now for about 3 months or so, and have experienced no problems using my MacBook Pro, iPhone 3GS, and an iPod Touch all over the city on whatever open, free wi-fi I find. At home I use Fibertel (maybe not for much longer) with an Apple Airport base-station. All with no problems, and pretty much automatic. (Although setting up the Airport base station to work with the Fibertel modem was a bit of a pain, initially.)
Actually, a quick edit: at home I can connect the iPhone and iPod only through the Airport base station's wi-fi, not through the Fibertel modem's wi-fi directly.
