His 35 minutes is an anomaly - I flew out at a non-peak hour last weekend and it took a fair chunk longer - for the first time, the security line was backed up to the entry of that area, but the passport control line took less time than usual. Check-in (LAN J at 4pm) only took a few minutes.

I've never had any major problems at EZE (at least not since having status and the benefit of using business/first check-in). There was quite a long line at security last Wednesday but there were 3 lanes open and it moved pretty fast. The line for immigration was fast too - I did a quick scan and most of the boxes were open so it seems they are geared up for the peak holiday season.

The worst line was for declaring valuables but fortunately I already had a receipt from a previous trip for my laptop etc so bypassed that this time round.

My apologies for not making it clear, but I was referring to just this section:

Flew out on Jan 15 and it was the smoothest I have ever seen it at EZE. Maybe 15 min total from check in to the lounge (even with the Global Tax Refund process). There's was a bag search and wanding at the UA gate. Flight left a couple of minutes early. The plane was pretty full.

The difference between Friday at EZE and Sunday night at EZE is like the difference between day and night.
