Using Expired Upgrades?

I decided to go through one of my drawers last night, and I discovered a set of select plus upgrade coupons that expired 2/28/2009. Are they now really useless, or is Amtrak willing to honor coupons that are technically expired?

Thanks

Since the H# on the back of the coupon is no longer valid, the agent would have to accept the old coupon and enter the discount code for the new coupon in the computer. I doubt they would do this.

The only possible exception may be for the Select Acela Lounge Passes since they don't actually get entered into a computer and an agent may choose to allow you entrance with an expired coupon.

Also, I tried to use a new coupon on Feb. 27,2009 one day early and was refused as was another person in line. The old and new coupons are different in color, also.
