Would've had no clue which shows to try for, otherwise.
There's an app for that. TKTS South Street Seaport and Brooklyn also offers tickets for next day matinee.

For some reason I thought they closed but maybe it was a different hardware store in the neighborhood! They were my savior during Hurricane Sandy!

I guess I was lucky because they were able to find it after ~3-4 days of back-and-forth between myself and the restaurant. Also, I had a party of 4 which AFAIK is actually easier to get a table than a party of 2.

Ah that makes sense, but it's soooo much more expensive for 4 than 2!

Amex gave me a club COMP (Platinum card)

I used the concierge to book guest list reservations at a known club in vegas and last time i got comped entrance when i did this and this time i did not so i had to pay $60. I talked to the costumer service Representative and they issued $60 credit! i am amazed at how good the costumer service is.

How far in advance of Halloween do the costumer service reps start getting really busy? I need to plan in advance this year.

I asked them via email with 4 days advance to order a birthday cake from a particular bakery, but they failed to do it.

I asked them to call and make a booking for boarding my dog at the place we always go to, but they apparently are not able to do that. I found out by calling the number. They never replied to the email saying that they couldn't do it.

They booked a dinner in Brisbane for me.

But I just hate the fact that we need to fill a form online, then when we get the email TO CONFIRM what we wanted, we can't reply directly but have to call, and do all the steps again.

It make it useless.

Seems that each country is different.
In France you have an email for travel, concierge & customer relations.
