Credit Ding?
I have the Citi Credit Monitoring Service and it has a tool to do credit predictions by bureau using each bureaus formula (Credit Analyzer). After hearing about the 20 point per app ding everyone talks about. I figured I would try it out.
I just entered one new card and tried 3 different limits all with a zero balance on Experian. $500 gained 2 points, $5000 gained 1 point, $50000 lost 1 point. Trans Union was +1, +1 and -6 at the same limits. I did not try Equifax as they have me as not applying for any new cards in the last 12 months and the other more accuratly show 12 and 13 apps. Obviously it verys by credit bureau and person but 4 out of 6 options increased my score and all changes were trivial. And the free miles/points and free Ipod Shuffles were worth to me.

Did anyone not get it who tried?
Thought you all might find this interesting. I received the exact same offer again the other day. There is a different "apply by" date for the application and RSVP#.
Still says : 15K for first purchase and 60K when you spend $15,000 by 1/1/06. Nothing about earning 4 points per $1.
Does anyone need the offer or the new rsvp code?

Looking forward to getting the 60K points before I transfer my spending to SPG... (Annoying to pay transfer from MR, then to pay spending fee at airline.)

I received the card today, in the package there is nothing mentioned about the 15k+60k bonus points. Should I be worried? Did anyone receive the card, too?

I have already received the card through the 75K offer so said the telephone rep. I've been using the card for about a week. When I went to the Membership Rewards website, my charges were listed, but the 15K that I was supposed to get from the first use was not on there.
When I called Amex, I was told that there is no notes about me getting any extra miles, but that it could take a few months to be posted.
Hmmm...does this sound right?
Thanks for the phone number and code.

OK - This is a joke. I called Membership Rewards and they wanted a "Bonus Code" for this offer - which I don't have (all I have is the RSVP number of the offer). They transferred me to customer service who said it could be a 90 day investigation to determine if this is a valid offer. At this point I'm worried, so I call the enrollment line again and give them the RSVP number. They confirm the offer and even stay on the phone with me as we call Membership Rewards together. Membership Rewards still won't confirm that this is a valid offer and basically says there's nothing they can do if they don't know the bonus code (which enrollment didn't know either). I'm doubting any of us that signed up for this will ever see these bonus miles. What a terrible customer service experience!!!
