AMEX 1099-INT or 1099-MISC who got one?

$650 spread across 3 different 1099-MISC forms (which was really nice) - weird considering I only had referrals from two different cards

Arrived via USPS yesterday

Free money not so free?

Flyertalk Search doesn't find "1099s" when looking for "1099" .

And I searched "1099 MISC" - anyway, just took advantage and referred P2 for the 25K BGR referral bonus! Half way to a 2020 1099-MISC!

Not if the retention bonus has a spending requirement or requires payment of an annual fee.

What does that work out to as valuation? Same for different products (i.e. MR & Hilton & Skymiles, or did you earn all MRs)? I feel like they should count it as the lowest available return ($0.006 if I spend at Amazon), but I bet they count it higher.

How did you split it up? Across how many cards?

Does any one know if AMEX is still sending 1099 for referrals? IF so when can I expect it? Also can one use the same to apply for an ITIN?

Hi Mia,
Thanks for your prompt response.
Do you know if I can file my tax returns apply for an ITIN only on the basis of the form 1099?

Anyone start seeing these for 2020 tax year yet? I've been watching my USPS digital copies closely as want to file taxes ASAP.
