One thing to keep in mind is that Etihad is one of those programs where the miles have a "hard" expiration. Basically you have about three years to use the miles and then they expire. Adding miles to the account does not extend the lifetime of existing miles. Now three years is a lot of time to use the miles but I'd be cautious of putting miles there if you don't have some relatively firm plans to use them.

Curious, for anyone that may know more about Ethiad's program:
Is there any sweet spot redemption for Business or First in their system?
I signed up for an account and took a cursory look at some possible trips. Round trip in business from NYC to BKK was coming up at 500,000 points and that seemed to be a lower tier.
Pretty steep unless I am missing something?

Transfer time?
I am looking to book an Etihad flight in a few days when it becomes available. Has anyone transferred MR points to Etihad yet and if so, was it immediate or did it take a few days?

Glitch in Etihad Guest miles Expiry Dates
I had transferred my MR points to Etihad Guest on 13th June 2016 and now Etihad online account shows the expiry as "After 31 May 2017" which is just one year but for Guest level the expiry was supposed to be 2 years right?
Those who have transferred during 30% bonus timeframe, please do check your expiry date.
