[Revived] Amex Premier Rewards Gold Card 50k Points After $2,000 Spend

Just a note. Wife and I both applied and were approved a few weeks ago. Met spend instantly. For weeks now the 50k shows as pending. Statement has closed and payments have been made. Tried calling twice to get points to be posted and they say flat out it is not possible and won't do it. So despite some isolated reports of people getting their points posted earlier, we have struck out with 2 cards.

That is odd; as I said upthread, my points posted as available immediately after the transaction taking me to $1K. I *still* haven't made a payment on the card yet.
Perhaps they 'trust me' since I've been a member for a long time? Or maybe I just got lucky!

If the person says they can't, just re-chat later. They absolutely can do it, some just don't know how. Perhaps it's the difference of getting different chat centers, so try different times of the day.

buying amex GCs on AMEX website qualify the $1000 spending requirement?
I bought 1000 GCs and got the statement, there is no pending 50K points.
How about load $1000 to redcard at target with this PRG card? Will this trigger the 50K bonus?

I always thought that buying Amex GCs with an Amex card from Amex wasn't considered an eligible purchase to earn bonus points? I just looked through the T&C for the 25k offer and it doesn't mention it specifically, but it does state that MR won't be earned on the purchase of cash equivalents.
