The new standard rules are a real pain if you want to carry a MR balance but apply for new cards...

Just applied using Chrome, smooth click path, instant approval, it did not get me to login to my Amex account at all, so I did not need to log out.

I read somewhere in FT that if one has Platinum Costco card (which has nothing to do with MR) it does not count - and should get the sign up bonus. is this correct?

If I currently hold a regular amex gold can I apply for this and be granted the 50k?

Then cancel my regular gold and keep this and maybe roll it back in a year or two?

No Fee First Year 50K after $1k spend AMEX P.R. GOLD
Deciding if I should jump on this. I got the Amex bus rewards card in June 2012 when Amex did the 75k points offer. Will be canceling this card when fee is due in June.

Do you guys think a higher offer in this card will come along? I've never seen such a good offer for the PRG.

Not if you have both biz and personal cards. Easy to drop to just one card while letting the clock roll waiting to get another.

Applied got pending will notify in up to 14 days. Got a E-mail 5 minutes later with approved.

does having delta gold amex card exclude me? have held that since 09 and is one that I keep. got businesss 100k ofer a little while back but no other amex cards. tia

Delta Gold is not a charge card, so you are ok.

you can't have any Personal Charge cards

thanks. applied, approved..think I need to stop now and focus on hitting spend limits, 6 cards in last 60 days between amex, chase, and US Air that will result in over 450k miles/points if I do the spend correctly (5:1 for chase business cards). can be addictive
