I think this is also the one I'm looking for. Too bad I can't hum the tune here for someone to chime in.

I just purchased Across the View from iTunes, so I'll have that one on the iPod on every flight now.

What's that song?

I flew AA 767s twice in the last 10 days, and while taxiing to the gate or waiting to disembark, a very catchy song was played over the PA system. I intially thought it was by Dido, and I thought I caught a holiday/Christmas reference in the lyrics. A few days after returning home, I caught a snippet of the Colbie Caillat song "Bubbly." Is that the same song? It sounds very familiar, but I didn't hear any holiday lyrics in this version.

Yes. Landing music is almost always ch 12:

That's a nifty little website link, I can think of so many times that I can't remember song titles from flights. Thanks!

AA Music after landing?

I am wondering if anyone know the songs played after AA metal lands? I found them quite good.

I don't know the answer to the OP's question, but here's a few I would choose:

Come Fly with Me - Frank Sinatra
Learning to Fly -Pink Floyd
Airplane - Indigo Girls
Beat Up Old Jetliner - Bob Rivers
Flying - Prism

I don't know the songs either, but I heard them on only one flight after landing. I never heard them since. I thought it sounded like a current song from radio at that time... but don't remember.

Thanks to TxnTravlr's assiduous searching and sharing, these threads about music onboard have now been consolidated and linked to the Unofficial Users' Guide for the members' convenience. (N.B. His links will not be working soon, due to the consolidation.)

That song always cheers me up when deplaning after a long flight. Not sure about any holiday lyric, though. Haven't heard it lately though it may be gone.

I've been awake for a while now
You've got me feelin' like a child now
Cause everytime I see your bubbly face
I get the tingles in a silly place

It starts in my toes
And I crinkle my nose
Where ever it goes
I always know
That you make me smile
Please stay for a while now
Just take your time
Where ever you go

The rain is fallin' on my window pane
But we are hidin' in a safer place
Under cover stayin safe and warm
You give me feelins that I adore

They start in my toes
Make me crinkle my nose
Where ever it goes
I always know
That you make me smile
Please stay for a while now
Just take your time
Where ever you go

It's hit or miss sometimes - but check the alternate search measures available in the Unofficial Users' Guide, and try, try again.

The search situation is temporary - unfortunately, the original search was causing the s-l-o-w-n-e-s-s we were experiencing, and using the IB Beta search is temporary only. Thank goodness!

On LAX-LIH, we had 'Somewhere over the rainbow' by Israel "Iz" Kamakawiwoʻole.

...reminescent of those old Calgon detergent booster commercials -- "ancient Texan secret"!

Actually, was quite bored and searched many key terms knowing I had previously seen something regarding the same topic!
