I flew this aircraft out of DFW back in November and the crew made a point of announcing the Flagship Valor livery and how it honors those who serve(d).

I joined post Gulf War in the mid 1990s. I did it to perform public service and to get some money to pay for school. While I served honorably and in a combat zone, Im not a hero I just did a job.
I used to resent the airlines for draping themselves in the flag and being performative towards the military as a means of virtue signaling. Now it annoys me, but Ive become numb to this ongoing nonsense.
The real heros know who they are.

I never served in the military but sadly this is also my reaction to corporate stuff like this. I tend to be pretty cynical, but folks I do know who I would consider heroes -- special forces guys serving in the thick of things in Iraq and Afghanistan, and back in Vietnam -- also don't think much of it.
