AA Overcharge
Hey all so I dont even know if this is worth emailing in on b/c I dont feel AA will do anything about it and the last thing I want to do is have my ticket cancelled...
Buying a $1750 one way ticket Asia-US and I wanted to use 4 travel credits, however I was getting a message online saying to call AA.
I call in and the rep takes all 4 of them and puts them in and reads me the new amount of $763. I give her my card. All is ticketed and good.
I noticed now my card was charged the full $1750. I was at first worried like did they use my credits and I was still charged the high amount, as if the ticket repriced to a higher fare. Fortunately that was not the case.
My 4 credits totaling $987 are still there. I just paid for the whole ticket. Agent absolutely quoted the new price with travel credits.
Not sure what to do. I guess just let it go and use the credits down the line.

Definitely do not email AA about this, it's not a customer relations issue but reservations. Emailing won't get you anywhere. If you want to use your credits just give AA a call and explain what happened. As noted if you're still within 24 hrs it will be easy to just cancel it and start over.

They were all trip credits and none had any connection to a flight from or even to Asia.
I guess the glitch online was trying to use them for departing Asia.
Dont get why the agent quoted me the price after the credits and said that was what she was charging.
