Ok got it. Sorry if I was not clear and thank you all.

Here is where I posted the 2025 rule based on AA’s email.

So, one thing that stands out with respect to the change in the "partnership" with Hyatt is that as things stand right now I can get 1-1.5 LPs/dollar (Hilton/IHG are at 1.5, Marriott/Choice at 1.0) by booking most other chains via the eShopping portal. With Hyatt, however, that option isn't available.

Womp womp.

Edit: Mind you, I have a Leverage code with Hyatt (and nothing elsewhere), so the points might be nullified regardless. But it still stands out as a weird hole to be unable to even use that angle with their "preferred partner".

Well, yeah, but I don’t think that AA has any input over what merchants Cartera/Rakuten signs up for their AA-branded shopping portal. Hyatt apparently doesn’t feel like they have to pay for referrals from shopping portals. I don’t know that I would fault them. Other than gc.com or fools.com, I don’t think I have ever bought anything through a portal link that I wouldn’t otherwise have bought without referral.

Also compare shopping portals, while I haven't had any issues with AAH, and the price is roughly the same, and you can get a few miles when booking direct via the shopping portal, I'm able to get 20-35% cashback on hotels via other portals.

A welcome surprise to see I'll become PP on 3/1. As a Lifetime Platinum, I was rarely upgraded and never perused the board with strong expectations. Should my expectations change a smidgeon as PP?

No. YMMV

No, unless you were always missing the upgrades by a couple people (within top 5).

That sends you to oneworld Emerald, so yes. Maybe not as much on AA (extra bag, higher upgrade priority when they are available), but I'd be quite pleased with the OWE part. That's what I go for each year; however, I do travel quite a bit internationally, so if you don't it may not mean as much.
