Notably absent from the list of stand down and crowdstrike airlines is Alaska and Jetblue. Different operating systems?

AA now has a travel waiver available for basically any flight touching a hub today, which may be helpful.

This IT outage was a blessing in disguise for my sister, who arrived at CLT at 6am with her 2 small children to fly non-rev (husband is an AA pilot)--because of cancelled flights they were able to clear into FC to Houston! It was her first time flying FC and she and my little 4 & 6 yo nephews were so grateful and happy. :)

What gets me is how this app/service is apparently modifying system files that prevent systems from booting. Seems very...strange to me, and the solution is even stranger.

Good luck to everyone affected!
Email from my organisation's IT department this morning was like this: All science & research divisions: Read these instructions. All other divisions: Try to read these instructions. We can help too but it may take a while. |
