If you're looking for partner awards then there are a few other sites you can use to cross reference available inventory, but there's no reason not to start your search with aa.com.

I use https://seats.aero/ and it works perfectly. I found and booked in the last year: LAX-SYD AA F, LAX-DOH-MLE QR J, CDG-DOH-PER QR F all using Advantage miles through searching on seats.aero. There are other options as well like https://roame.travel/ and https://www.pointsyeah.com/, but seats.aero is my preferred. Experflyer is pretty much useless at this point.
