Best tool to search for award availability
It's been years since I redeemed AA awards. I used to use expert flyer to search AA inventory. What's the best tool to search for AA award inventory? TIA

If you're looking for partner awards then there are a few other sites you can use to cross reference available inventory, but there's no reason not to start your search with aa.com. |
I use https://seats.aero/ and it works perfectly. I found and booked in the last year: LAX-SYD AA F, LAX-DOH-MLE QR J, CDG-DOH-PER QR F all using Advantage miles through searching on seats.aero. There are other options as well like https://roame.travel/ and https://www.pointsyeah.com/, but seats.aero is my preferred. Experflyer is pretty much useless at this point.

Can you look for C class inventory for SWU availability on those databases?

Unfortunately, seats.aero only had United and Air Canada for upgrade availability, I'm not sure about the others. I'm hoping they will add other carriers like AA soon.

Award Tool is another one to try. Haven't used aero. ANyone used both to compare?
I've still had success with Award Nexus too. |
Tried Aero and like the ease of functionality, but it gave me a bunch of false positive results on American. I'll keep trying thought.

I generally use seats.aero and awardhacker to find award flights, but recently I've been playing around with some of the newer AI Flight Finder tools. I've noticed some of them improving over the last few months. Lately I've been having fun playing around with awardhunter.com. I like how I'm able to ask which frequent flyer programs can be used to book flights that I find, and I can take it a step further and which programs are the cheapest for booking specific flights - it isn't 100% accurate but it leads me in the right direction.
