Is there a Lifetime Gold (etc) ID card?

Should I have a card showing lifetime gold? AA.com always recognizes my Gold status but e.g. a new booking on AS (listing my AA FF #) says a bag will cost $30, and afaik I have nothing to show an agent showing that status.

If you log into your AAdvantage account, you should be able to find your current AAdvantage card with information as to your status, and a scannable bar code. You can even save a copy to your phone's photo gallery, if you wish, and I expect that you can also print a copy.

Those with lifetime AAdvantage status still have annual expiration dates on their virtual cards. The expiration dates update yearly.

I would also double-check the AS booking in a day or two, to see if the baggage-fee information has been updated.

If you go to the AA app click on the top with your name and status, then pull the page up and you will see a tab for "view AAdvantage card" and there it is, with bar code and all

Back when they used to actually issue plastic membership cards to Elite's, They never said lifetime. There was a logo for 1 million mileer or 2 million miler etc, but it never said lifetime gold or lifetime Platinum. They sent out new cards every year with a February 28th expiration date so lifetime cards didn't really exist of anything that would mean something to anyone at Alaska.

The advice you already got is perfect: just screenshot your virtual card

Have been LTG for a while(Feb 2013)... Changes to the AA program (and the recent travel restrictions) mean all I do is keep my rewards points balance from expiring (surveys).
But I do have a plastic AA Gold card which says "1 million miles" and does NOT have an expiry date...
Not sure whether that will help or not with wandering
