Improved in-flight status recognition?

Is there a recent push for in-flight status recognition? On a three different legs - two mainline and one regional - I was given explicit recognition and thanks for EXP status, and in one case the FA gave me a handwritten thank you card. I'm used to that sort of thing on Alaska, but not AA.

It does happen and has happened to me several times including the handwritten note. I think it's a nice gesture and shows there are still employees that care and value both their employer and customer.

We flew from TPA to AUS on AA and from AUS to SEA on AS. There was no recognition of EXP status on the AA flight, but we did receive a chocolate bar in recognition of OneWorld Emerald status on the AS flight.

On my AS trip this month in F, the only segment out of 5 where FAs acknowledged anyone’s status was on the regional from ANC-FAI. That was a major decline from previous travel, so if AA can match that 20%, sounds good to me.
