One thing I have noticed is if you use Apple Pay or you "tap" your card, some places I wont get points. I have gone back to those places and slide my card into the slot to pay, and I get the points. Since tap/Apple Pay uses a virtual cc #, I'm thinking that is the issue.

Interesting. I've had that experience with Bilt-linked cards, but no other dining portal. I've always been able to use Apple Pay/tap for AA, United, etc.

I recently used Google Wallet to tap my Aviator card at a Toast POS and it tracked properly with AAdvantage Dining, including the tip I left.

AA dining posting very slow recently

Over the past week or so, I have been getting the e-mails asking me about my experience at AA dining restaurants almost immediately. This has not translated to the dines showing up on the AA dining site in the 2-4 days that had been seen previously. Have one dine that has been 7 days. Wonder if there is a glitch in the system delaying the postings. This is not an isolated instance, been at least 6 times. Anyone else seeing this?

My last visit on 2/3 posted on 2/8. The one before that on 1/30 posted in 2/3.

AAdvantage dining customer service response time

Have had several dines recently not post and sent an inquiries to AA dining customer service. In the past response time has been a day or two. Now a week and nothing after initial automated "we have received your request" Anyone else seen this and is there a workaround to reach them?

They've definitely been slow lately. You can always call them if you're in a hurry for the posting. If you call, they'll post it right away. If you're not in a hurry, I've found that they'll take care of posting missing dines in a week or two.

Called and was told they are running behind. Agent checked and said my inquiries were received and had the needed information and would be addressed in a few days. No offer to post them.

Manual Labor ?

I thought posting was an automated process, except when it's not.

Strange. My dines (two of them in the past month) each posted in about 3 days after the dine. One I had no idea was a participating restaurant.

I had two dinners last week that qualified unexpectedly (I don't really look up what restaurants are on the program). In both cases I got an email within minutes of paying, and in both cases the miles/LPs posted within 2-3 days of the dining. I did not use Apple Pay at either venue (not supported).

FlightNurse Apr 25, 2026 7:22 am

All of my dinning have posted within 24 hours in the last month

marlee1421 Apr 25, 2026 8:18 am

My issues are with dines that have not posted at all. Requests to customer service is what is delayed, one for 9 days now and one for 7 days AFTER the request was made (need to wait 10 days after dine to request). Customer service said they are experiencing long delays, verified the dines are eligible but have to wait for an assigned agent to process.
