Has anyone received dining credit a few days later for cases where the email never arrived? If not, it looks like I may need to submit 3 missing points requests after 10 days, and see how that goes. Double check that your restaurant hasn't dropped out of the program. If you've patroned a restaurant several times, AA dining used to proactively notify you via email the restaurant is no longer participating. But there's been a few in my area that dropped out recently and I didn't hear from AA. So am not sure they're doing that any longer. Recently I checked to see if a review had posted & that was how I found out the restaurant dropped out. |

FYI some restaurants don’t pay miles on Amex even though they accept Amex. It’s easy to miss

Same here. Sometimes I get an email as soon as the restaurant runs my credit card. Other times, I don't get that email. In all cases, however, the miles are processed in a few days and post to my AA account a few days later. So I no longer worry when I don't receive the instant email.

Anyone have an efficient way to do the below? Trying to utilize my Amex Resy Credit while earning AA credit.
Cross referencing the restaurants listed on both Resy and AA dining. Was thinking there must be some sort of dining rewards aggregator. |

Cross referencing the restaurants listed on both Resy and AA dining. Was thinking there must be some sort of dining rewards aggregator. However the same Dining Rewards network that supports AA Dining is also the same backend that does the points-for-dining programs that other airlines, Marriott, etc. where if you register a card with one system it will be unregistered from another one. I'm less certain of: I think I've read (maybe here) that enrolling a card in a Citi offer for a restaurant may sometimes unregister it from a non-AA dining program? But my mind may just be making this up. And I believe that registering a card with Shell Fuel Rewards also conflicts with Dining Rewards, but also that there's a way to finesse that where you can then reregister the card for dining without interfering with the fuel rewards part? |
In my experience restaurants track on the dining website but the miles never actually get credited to the AAdvantage account. This matter more for the “Start the new year with AAdvantage bonus miles” promo that can add 1500 miles. The dining I did in mid-December hasn’t posted (though is tracked on the dining website) but none of the tracked transactions over the last 2 years has ever credit either. The only time I remember getting miles was during an AAdvantage anniversary prono, where I got the 500 bonus miles for using the dining program but didn’t get credited for the actual restaurant visit that triggered the 500.

Huh, in literally many hundreds of RN dine I have never had one fail to migrate from RN to AA. Have you emailed the RN support team and asked them to review?
|
I agree 100% with Jailbird. Once the transaction is posted in the AA Dining account, the miles automatically transfer to AAdvantage, although it could take a few days.

And if everything seems alright regarding your account at Rewards Network, you or they should contact AA to find out why your dines aren't posting as they should. The two posts right above this suggest that your problem may be unique, and not a general problem. |
After a week AA Dining basically said they can't credit anything older than a year and manually processed my recent transaction (the issue was referred to "Partner Liaison to review"). This did trigger the 1500 bonus miles, so I got the main thing I was after. I had asked them to address whatever issue might prevent automatic crediting in the future but they didn't address that point. The manually-processed transaction and all prior transactions are still listed as "Processing" on the AA Dining website.

A little tip - if you're near a Jack in the Box, you can drive through and get a soft drink and it counts as one of your visits toward VIP. I realized I was one visit away in late December. Makes it easy to qualify. I feel a little silly reviewing my Diet Coke, but what the heck? :)

But be warned, it is not ALL Culvers, only the addresses specifically listed on the AAdvantage Dining website. |

You can also do this with Culver's cheese curds :)

Just discovered that adding $5 to a gift card from my local AAdvantage Dining restaurant that is on Toast counts as a vist.
