AA to St Augustine??

Hi all,

Do you know when they start served to St Augustine, FL from Charlotte? I find a comments about that. Does anybody know where they signed the contract? From DOT? See below:

There is no guarantee AA will begin flying from Charlotte to St. Augustine. However, the Small Community Air Service Development Program grant to St. Augustine Airport listed above will increase the chances of AA commencing CLT-UST.

Here's St. Augustine Airport's application from several months ago. You can find American's letter of support on page 3: https://www.regulations.gov/document...2020-0231-0065

There is no firm date for the inaugural flight, but the application offers a timeline on page 23:

- Announce service and publish schedule | September 2021
- Begin service | December 2021

Of course, this is highly subject to change.

It’s really annoying that AA seems to insist on flying it’s 2nd/3rd tier FL city customers to CLT rather than MIA.

No CLT makes much more sense.
CLT has MUCH better domestic connectivity than MIA and that is 95% of the passengers going to/from these stations.

I’m actually agree with you. I like CLT. It much better than MIA. I knows airport very well. No need to go to Jacksonville anymore. Way too long drive. St Augustine is much easier for me. I can visit my friends in St Augustine. Easy drive.

I-95 traffic is way too much!! Too overcrowded!! You could stuck on I-95. It could be worse. Besides, I can go to St Augustine instead. Easy on and easy off.
