Cancelled flight segment

hi im supposed to fly to europe on june 19th from lax-lhr-oslo but the flight from LHR-OSL with BA is cancelled and they currently dont have a flight going on that day. hypothetically if the world somehow gets better by june 19th and I take this flight to london will AA credit me a refund for the portion of the flight that got cancelled?

random sidenote: noticed this was my 420th post. time to light a j lol

Is this a return or one way ticket?
Are you permitted to enter UK and/or Sweden?
Do you want to travel?
LAX-LHR-OSL may cost less than LAX-LHR, So you may owe AA some $$$

Ticket t&c's will be as at purchase plus any wavier that AA may have at date of your flight. No-one on FT knows what the orignal t&c's are.
The selling price of flights has little to do with distance:- just what the market will take. OSL is well known for chea Eu flights
A flight ex LHR will have the UK APD applied. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_Passenger_Duty.
If LHR was a transit your current ticket will not the APD. If business/first class that additional APD will be $$$$

Would have been really good timing if you could have reached that milestone a few Mondays ago.

Anyways, I have a difficult time envisioning AA providing a refund for some portion of the amount that you paid just because the LHR-OSL flight was cancelled.

However, you likely have the option to refund the entire itinerary if the earliest that AA/BA can get you to OSL isn't until the next day from when you were orginally scheduled to arrive.

You won't owe AA if the segment is canceled by the airline. You could owe money if you cancel it.
