Just received an offer to buy up to Platinum Pro status for 2020. I'm currently Exec Plat but to date, only have enough miles/spend for Gold for 2020. By next month though, I will be Platinum Pro.
My offer is $1,850 or 185K miles. Even if I wasn't going to make the status anyway, no way I'd spend that to go from Gold to PP.

Alarmingly, and rather inconsistent with previous years, my offer is fairly reasonable.
Currently Plat Pro with $1,700 EQD and 34,000 EQM. Won’t even re-qualify for Gold organically this year. Even with remaining travel already booked for the year, it won’t happen.
Offer:
Gold: $825 or 82.5K miles
Plat: $1,479 or 148K miles.

I'll take this one -
0.5534 ounces based on today's spot rates.
When referring to the status known as AAgold coal today? Not that much value and even less for domestic travelers holding the smorgasbord of AAdvantage-branded credit cards.

I was more so referring to the Platinum offer, which, if I were interested, would have left me spending well below the EQD threshold.
On the Gold offer, depending on where someone flies, it is actually possible for them to run through the $825 in MCE seats, if that is something they value. Based on my travel pattern this year alone, I would have spent a whole lot more.
It’s amazing how many people post online about how much they scoff at these year-end offers when the airlines make them. However, as someone who spent 5 years on the external audit team for one of the big 3 airlines, I can assure you that they derive quite a bit of revenue from these offers. As posted upthread, some people value their time on the ground more than the cost of the offer and many would rather stay at home than do a MR.

Gold: $699 or 70K miles
Platinum: $1,345 or 1345K miles
Seems cheap. I am not interested at all, but I can see how this looks like a slap in the face to someone who "earned" status. Background:
I am UA 1K and domestically fly UA, and use oneworld mostly to fly to Europe in discount J, so oneworld is my secondary alliance. I was EXP in 2018, but switched to BA Gold last year, so dropped down to AA Platinum. I barely flew AA this year (mostly BA), but the flew AA flights I credited to BA.

yikes.
Currently EXP. Not likely to get there this year but currently
15,446 EQD
70,000 EQM (with enough scheduled to easily hit 75000 this year.
[So enough EQD for EXP but not near enough miles]
Offer: Platinum Pro 1,545.00 or 154.5K miles

Made Gold for the first time last year.
So far this year I have
$1,600 spend
13k miles
19 segments
My offer is $749/75k
I could make the needed segments with my travel for the rest of the year, but not the spend (or miles).
Don’t think I’ll take the offer, as my credit card gets me a free checked bag and I didn’t get much in the way of upgrades this year.

Challenged Gold from 2018's fast track offer
Currently ~$500 PQD, ~5100 PQM.
Offered $629 to keep Gold.
Never gonna hit Gold based on organic travel this year (currently in ORD flying mainly UA), but next year will move to DFW area. Worth hitting the button?

Currently EXP but not going to be requalifying. Will hit PP next weekend if my $99 companion fare earns miles. My year end should be around $86k EQM and $10,500EQD.
72091EQM
9975 EQD
Offer for PP: $1195 or $119,500 miles.
I assume they will change that offer once I hit PP, but I doubt it will make sense to take them up on it.

Current Platinum Pro with ~50K EQM, ~7,300 EQD, and 23 EQS YTD. My offer to retain Platinum Pro is $2,085 or 208.5K miles. Seems a bit steep just to go from Platinum to Platinum Pro, and I'm planning on making EXP through flying/CC spend anyway. Should have ~72K EQM/~9K EQD in a week or so - will be interesting to see how the offer changes.
