American Airlines continues to grow its service to the Big Sky Country with four new, seasonal flights to Bozeman and Kalispell, Montana from Philadelphia (PHL), New York (LGA) and Los Angeles (LAX) scheduled for launch in Summer 2020.

The airline will also be introducing three new Alaskan routes, out of Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) and Chicago (ORD), including brand-new service to Alaska’s second-largest city, Fairbanks (FAI), aimed at connecting customers who are eager to explore Denali National Park, spot some caribou or discover glacial wonders.

The new options are nice, but unfortunately AA’s Alaska service is still just seasonal. And it appears they dropped PHX-ANC next year then, PHX wasn’t mentioned in the press release that came out.

It wasn't "dropped", it was "seasonal" with a very short season. Look at it next year: only June 6 through Sept 5.

Bozeman fares were sky high last time I tried to get up that way. But milesaaver was wide open to billings. Rented a car and had a beautiful drive.

The highest VDB offers I've personally experienced in the last two years (ignoring family who got $6k apiece on UA to CUN) have been to/from FCA and BZN, by far.

FAI flights were cut.

From a matrix search for July, the only AA metal non-stops to AK are ORD and DFW to ANC.

It may well be a moot point anyway given the current situation, who knows what if any travel will be happening in July.

I was planning on using the FAI route this summer...oh well. Hopefully they bring it back for 2021.

If Canada opens ports as planned on July 1, then the flights will be useful for cruises to/from Seward
