How will AA respond to southwest entering Hawaii

Interestingly, AA (and UA/DL/AS) have a bit of a respite from the WN onslaught due to the impact of the MAX groundings. WN has not been able to expand their Hawaii service at the pact that they had expected. I don't worry all that much because AA has competed with low-fare carriers in the past and has survived. Also, for the time being, WN can only connect passengers from as far as DEN. If/when that changes, you may see a more pronounced reaction from AA.
