They know exactly what to do with their 778 fleet. They’re rapidly retrofitting them to J 20. At this rate, we might see the refit done by May.

I was checking AA.com and it appears starting May 2nd they are selling PE on all 788 flightout of Ord. My guess PE will be completed by then or so they think

The las 787-8 to be refitted to Premium Economy and the reduced 20 seat Business Class, N816AA, departed to PAE 17 April for refitting. There are no 28J, W0 788s remaining in service. It appears the May 2 deadline will be met. https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/amer...seat-info.html

Interesting to see the one cabin refit that AA manages to expedite is the one where they're taking premium product away. Says a lot about the priorities of current leadership.
