Premium Economy awards can be booked on at least some partner airlines.

This booking "tool" includes PE awards

Booking class for MileSAAver Premium Economy is X class.

MileSAAver is appearing to be:
US-Europe 40,000 miles
US-Asia 50,000 miles
... but can be less

Aircraft with Premium Economy:

Airbus A330-200
Boeing 777-200 and -300
Boeing 787-8 in retrofit currently, completion expected by Q3
Boeing 787-9

Gary Leff States there will not be any associated upgrade changes (Y to PE, PE to J) at this time.

Not being snarky - how do you see this (assuming these are valid awards).

If a person was planning a trip in Business for 115K (r/t) and now that same award is 220k (r/t) - so "paying" more miles for the same service - or the same for less service/comfort?

Try the regular award search engine, you're seeing Anytime levels

Ah.

That's not confusing at all.

The PE award levels for the (nonexistent) SAAver awards are still a closely guarded secret.

Given SAAver awards are assigned X fare class, is X shown on ExpertFlyer yet?

Just found 50k PE redemption from LAX to HKG. I imagine this is “saver” level as it falls pretty much in the middle of saver Y and Saver J. This example books into “X” inventory.

Looking for a flight from CDG to PHL later this year and not finding any X class for any possible date I need. Not even listed as having "0" availability.

Prem Economy "saaver" looks to be 40k to Europe for both peak and off peak. Looking DFW to FRA on March 12th and CLT to FRA on Sept 10th.

Tried to upgrade a current redemption from coach to PE (JFK-LHR-PRG) and was told I couldn't because LHR-PRG was on BA. Anywho, the agent informed that the going rate for PE on the JFK-LHR is 40,000 miles with business staying at 57,500.

Sure glad I managed to get to Hawaii for 37,500 miles in F one last time in 2016. Those days are long gone. Nothing exciting about these Y+ rates, they're fine, as JonNYC said they'd be.

It's sad to see just how bad Y+ and F sAAver availability is across the schedule.

In principle this should not be a problem, BA should just be a "voluntary" downgrade. But I have no doubt that AA has implemented it in the worst possible way so that the BA segment is indeed a problem.

Looking at PHL-PRG flights for August. Premium Economy are routinely 250K round trip per person. Yikes. Not to be overly sensitive, but a few years back I flew four people in F to Hawaii for just over that amount during a holiday season.

Call reservations. The agents are able to see the 40k availability on this route since it's a direct flight on AA metal.

I've booked and been offered mixed cabin awards in the past, so I'm not really sure why it's an issue this time. I'll give it a few days while they try to iron out the kinks.
