This booking "tool" includes PE awards

Booking class for MileSAAver Premium Economy is X class.

MileSAAver is appearing to be:
US-Europe 40,000 miles

Fingers crossed! I'm also hoping for a solid redemption to Hawaii.

Very strange that it would go "live" ("bookable") with no prior official announcement and no advance indication of award levels.

I suppose it's good for FT'ers who want to snap up PE awards...assuming "bookable" means that there will actually be availability, and not just the technical capability to book awards if and when they are subsequently released.

Tpg is reporting that with the award chart release aa will also release a new booking tool online

https://thepointsguy.com/news/aa-pre...-booking-tool/

New desktop award booking tool: The other bit of news that’s coming from this pre-announcement is a “new desktop award booking tool” that’s also going to launch on Jan. 24. The award booking tool is supposed to “give customers easier access, at a glance views of the lowest mileage days, availability” and more.

With the addition of this new tool, travelers have four ways of booking awards — including premium economy awards: the website, AA’s mobile app, calling reservations or this new desktop award booking tool.

Desktop tool? Like an application that you install on Windows or MacOS? Do people still even make those?

My interpretation is a web page and tpg called it a tool. If it’s a plug in no chance that’s getting installed

The "tool" has been live (sort of) for some hours now. You can see the link if you go to Plan Travel / Flights and then tick the "Redeem Miles" box (note: NOT on the home page). Then click on "Try our new award booking search..."

Problem is, if you follow the link, there is not actually any PE (at any mileage level), contradicting the claim made in the link text.

The reason I thought that was because it referenced the website and the tool. Which would seem redundant if the tool was a website...

I think I remember a OneWorld desktop application with scheduling and maybe even booking capabilities for RTW tix, but perhaps I’m dating myself.

I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

Ahhh, can't see the link anymore...if you can still access it or find it through your web history, would you mind posting the link to the new award booking search page?
