Will AA credit the difference when the fare drops?

Booked five tickets from DEN to MIA on Sunday and when I looked up the price today, I saw the ticket price dropped by nearly half. Has anyone had success with AA price matching AA’s own fare?

if the price difference is more than the change fee, then you could caancel, use credit minus change fee and then have remaining amount available for future use

AA hasn't offered free fare rollovers for years, but if the fare decrease is greater than the change fee, you can get the delta back in the form of a voucher.

The answer is a simple no presuming that you purchased discounted inflexible tickets. On the off chance that you purchased fully refundable tickets, go ahead and refund them and then purchase the cheaper tickets.

As others note, if the change fee less price difference makes the deal worth it, then go ahead.

Nice old fashioned concept , but what AA will actually do is charge you the change fee (you probably saw it when you checked the Detailed Fare Rules before purchasing) and issue you new tickets - as others have said, if there’s anything to pay. Only works f you have a fully flexible fare, normally.
