First Class Pricing anomaly
In searching for a R/T: Mia / Fll - LAS (Mar 5 and Mar 10)... i get different first fares depending on the "search criteria" for the outbound city.
For instance:
3/5/19 - MIA/FLL - LAS: Flight AA 1368...... prices at: $1,446.00
BUT..... if I change the "search criteria" for the outbound city to ONLY Mia (.....to LAS)... that same flight prices out at: $1,534.00
Any thought son why this is????
AND..... in the search .....R/T: Mia / Fll - LAS (Mar 5 and Mar 10).... it does not pull up all the possible connecting flights.
For instance:
3/5/19 - MIA - LAS: It DOES show: MIA - ORD AA 335 and ORD - LAS AA 168
BUT..... if I change the "search criteria" for the outbound city to MIA / FLL (.....to LAS)... that flight option is not shown.
Another deficiency in the AA site.... and another reason that I am constantly forced to use 3rd party sites (ITA) to find and book flights.

So, the cheaper $1446 option would be MIA-LAS-FLL, the $1534 would be MIA-LAS-MIA.
As to the search results, aa.com will typically show you around 40 results or so, so when searching just MIA-LAS you will get 40 results for MIA-LAS. Searching MIA/FLL-LAS, you will get 20 results for MIA-LAS and 20 results for FLL-LAS (very generally speaking, you get the idea). So it's only common sense that some potential MIA-LAS search results will be left off when searching both MIA/FLL.

# of search results returned?
The price will be the same if you fully click through. It appears cheaper on the calendar view when searching MIA/FLL-LAS because there is probably a cheaper return segment to FLL that causes the overall price to be cheaper. When you search only from MIA, that option disappears.
So, the cheaper $1446 option would be MIA-LAS-FLL, the $1534 would be MIA-LAS-MIA.

Ive given up on aa.com for all but the simplest non-stop trips. Its normally Google flights for everything else. I like to take advantage of the 24 hour connections rules for international to spend some time in the connecting city. aa.com doesnt show all tbe options

also - aa.com doesn't offer 2 stop flights if there are 40 non/1 stop options. sometimes those 2-stop flights are both good deals and EQM opportunities (especially J/F fares).

You are reading the results incorrectly. Flight 1368 is not showing as pricing as $1446 or $1534. Those prices are roundtrip prices, not one-way prices. What it is showing you is the cost of flight 1368 outbound plus the cheapest possible return flight option. Adding additional airports to the search criteria will potentially include cheaper return flight options to the other airports in the roundtrip price. You are being charged the exact same amount for the outbound flight 1368 in both cases. Including FLL in the search criteria causes it to include a LAS-CLT-FLL return option in the roundtrip pricing which results in the $1446 roundtrip price. Excluding FLL leaves only MIA return options were the lowest possible roundtrip price is $1534.
