Question on valid routing

Hello FT,
I'm scheduling a trip to Bora Bora for October 2018, and thought it might be neat to go back the long way (based in US) on a premium carrier. Is PPT-NRT-DOH-LHR/CDG 85k AA miles in business and within the routing rules as long as NRT-DOH-LHR/CDG is all on Qatar? PPT-NRT on ATN? Assuming of course that award space is available. Getting a new Qsuite would be awesome. Thanks for the help.

Regards,
Nathan

No. QR do not publish a fare from PPT-LHR/PAR, and TN's published fare requires travel via LAX. You would need two awards.

Getting long haul business awards USA to the South Pacific-Australia is extremely hard.
Oct 2018 is about 330 days from now, so you need to start looking & booking award flights now
What research have you done on availability?
As post above you need to understand the AA rules for awards flights.

Yes they do, but via AKL not NRT. Example below. NZ leg obviously not bookable with AA miles.

Interesting. OLNZP4RQ doesn't show up as a PPT-LHR fare on EF but does show up as AKL-LHR fare.
