Checking for flights on oneworld.com instead on aa?

Checking for flights on oneworld.com instead on aa?
When I check for flights on AA.com for redeeming miles, it only shows AA and British airways flights.
Through oneworld.com it shows all oneworld members.
If I find a flight on oneworld.com that I like, can I call AA and tell them I want to redeem tat flight using my AAdvantage miles?

Sure, you can call AA and tell them whatever you like.
However OW.com does not have an award space search, so you're just taking shots in the dark as to whether the flight will have availability.
Also, your statement about what carriers are shown on the AA.com award search is incorrect. While not exhaustive, the site shows more partners than just BA.
