Next trip may put me over the 2M mile mark!

Call meeting services to add it. I think if you call the normal AA res number they will transfer you... assuming they don't add it. or... after the trip you can file a request and wait up to 12 weeks for credit.... AA needs to fix this.

Day passes from BE are also valid until 12/31/10

Thank you, much appreciated. The BE program seems to be an obvious "gimme" for someone running a small business...accumulate points in an additional program...doh.

(Another noob question) Are there rules about who can list an organization's BE number? If a friend/relative/etc is traveling, is there any reason they shouldn't add my BE number to their reservation?

Thanks!

Lee

Current JFK-LHR Fuel Surcharge

It's often difficult to figure out BE credits for TATL flights, especially if there are flights operated by other carriers, and also because the fuel surcharge is now folded into the fare. Accordingly, I thought I would let folks know that my most recent JFK-LHR AA fare included $160 each way for the fuel surcharge, which does not count toward BE points. I'm guessing this is standard across all fare classes, but if it matters, it was an N fare each way.

AA doesn't fly NRT - HKG. Is there any creative way I can use the Business Extraa award to fly JFK -NRT (stopover) - HKG?

You can save account number in profile

I received this today, which I think is a nice improvement, so I do not have to input the number every single time I make a reservation:

"Earning points has never been easier, especially for American Airlines AAdvantage members who can now save the Business ExtrAA account number in their personal account online at AA.com.

Spread the word to employees to login at AA.com, visit Reservation Preferences and save the company account number - this enables points to post automatically to the Business ExtrAA account from all eligible AA.com flight bookings.":D

What I can't understand is how BE loses flights in the same PNR that did post to AAdvantage. Also, when do give you credit for the missing flights, there is no way to know which specific flights the points are for.

Business Extra is a mess to manage. If there are schedule changes, flight changes or even if a VIP is processed and the ticket is re-issued, more often than not the Business Extra number is purged and you only find this out a few months later as it takes forever to post. Then you have to send them an email in which they always respond curtly with "Next time you need to enter your Business Extra number in the record". Then wait another two months and hope the flights post.

I have not had any problems yet. I had flights changed, EVIPs processed, and everything posted like clock work.

This is truly welcome news for me, as two of our people always manage to forget to enter their BE numbers! ^

EXACTLY! I just checked my org's BizExtraa balance and ZERO flights in June or July were posted. Unbelievable!!
Now i have to collect everyone's e-tickets, put the numbers by hand into a spreadsheet sent to me by BizExtraa CS, and email it to them. What a &#($#$ pain. :td::td:

dstan Aug 25, 2010 12:35 am

On the flip side, Customer Service has been responding quite promptly of late by email. True, it would be much easier if one never had to contact CS in the first place, but at least you hear back quickly that they will process your credit request within 10-12 weeks. ;)

I am not a Business ExtrAA member, and have read some pages on it. Is there any downside to signing up for this? It's free, right?

Also, has anyone tried the Amex Corporate card that goes with this? 4% cashback on all AA travel? Sounds good to me.

Yep. Worked just fine for me. They may have targeted me because I'm low volume user....

There is no downside, except for the time you will spend trying to track the points. It is free.
