LAA 77W DFW-HKG AA 137 / 138 flight experiences, questions
 

I got rebooked on CX via LAX. AAngel put me in J, but CX put me in Y instead when I got to LAX. Got a middle seat, but paid $325 to upgrade to PY.

In retrospect, I should have stayed on AA137, but my crew friends said it would have cancelled.

Hey guys. On 31/01 I arrived at DFW from HKG. It was a very nice flight, but my upcoming DFW-GRU got delayed and eventually cancelled. It was rescheduled to departure the next day at 12:00pm, and they eventually changed to an old 772. Was it really a tech issue? I've lost my domestic leg and right now I'm waiting for the next flight here in GRU. My miles also went tech with what happened.

It didn't. Departed before midnight and so flew out 1/1 and arrival is 1/3.

Lost a day.;)

I had the horseradish chicken the other day and it was actually pretty good. I would order it again. I am not a huge fan of horseradish, either... But it looked like my best option. Essentially it is a boneless breast that has a layer of creamy horseradish sauce on top, then topped with Panko breadcrumbs. Vegetables were perfectly cooked, a welcome surprise. HTH.

Were you already in J? And AA placed you in J on the CX flight? If so, then it sounds like an involuntary downgrade to me (but good luck getting anything out of CX).

Any chance we get pjs in J on this flight?

Why anyone would take AA from DFW or rumored LAX to HKG vs. CX boggles my mind.

Because CX doesn't fly DFW-HKG?

And because on AA one can buy a coach ticket and upgrade to J with a SWU.

Theoretically. Hasn't happened to us yet despite trying!

Need to book at least 5 months out AND use Expertflyer.
