- a certain % of EPs that will only earn the 4 SWUs annually. Probably a pretty large %.

- a certain % of more profitable (higher EQMs) EPs that will earn 6 SWUs annually. Probably a pretty large %.

- a certain % of even more profitable (higher EQMs) EPs that will earn 8 SWUs annually.

- a certain % of even more profitable (higher EQMs) EPs that will earn (10, 12, etc) SWUs annually.

Presumably posted automatically, no more "magic words" calls to ACS, etc

Typo for EQP? Or is EQP gone and we just have EQM with higher-class bonuses?

my "guess" is

4 SWUs for reaching EP.

2 more at 100 EQPs and 2 more for every 25k EQPs.

Will be all EQMs, solving the problem of a "mixed" flyer where a few premium/full-Y/etc tickets get buried (and therefore unrewarded) under AAdv's current system.

now i am kicking myself for not booking few more of those ultra cheap BA biz fares for early next year..that would have secured another year

Hmmm... Isn't that how the old US DM EQMs worked?

Ok, so those higher fares get bonus EQMs then, I assume.

Nice. So thus far:
-Goodbye EQP
-100% EQM for cheap fares. Some bonus for expensive fares (150-300%?).
-Fewer SWUs
-Same EQM/EQS requirement, no $ requirements.

Am I missing any other parts? Reduced plat bonus?

Overall, seems fairly reasonable. Of course the big ugly change is likely in the RDM earning.

Confused. Does the 4 SWU's downgrade kick in for 2016 or 2017, many thanks for the all the info.

Most definitely (I mean not higher fares in a $$-sense but in a fare-class sense, different multipliers for each from 1x or deep discount to 3x for Full fare First/Business F/J)

This is starting this coming year, so 2016 flight activity for 2017 qualification.

I booked three trips in J to Europe during that sale--all on BA metal, though, and after Feb 1, 2016.

After seeing the new award chart for AA earning on BA metal for J fares it doesn't seem to have changed. Am I missing something???

Ok, good, this is so much better to be based on fare class than actual fare. Do we know the full range of the multipliers? How about discounted J? Is it a 2x or a 3x?
