Once a flight is ticketed, premium class customers can go to AA.com's My Trips (but not on the mobile site or app) to select, change or view their entrée reservations during the period of 30 days to 24 hours prior to departure.

Information About Entrée (Main Course) Reservations

. . ● Entrée reservations are available in First and Business class on American Airlines marketed and operated flights
. . ● We can begin accepting reservations 30 days prior to travel and all orders must be completed at least 24 hours before departure
. . ● If your original itinerary changes, please reselect your entrée preference
. . ● We will do our best to accommodate your request, but there may be instances that prevent us from fulfilling your selection

ARCHIVE: Meal Entrée (mains) Reservations / Pre-order now Available (Oct 2012)

Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere, but I searched for entree reservations and didn't see anything. Mods, please move if appropriate.

I noticed that my upcoming JFK-LAX (in F) gives an option for pre-ordering my main course:

Now I just have to decide if I can tell which entrée I'll want…

Awesome!

Let's hope the test works out and they roll this out systemwide! ^

And they even put the correct accents on the word, like a global airline should. Kudos.

This is a good step, however, I would hope that it would be accompanied by a greater selection of entrees

Interesting to know they're not serving Kosher meals from DEL.

They're no longer serving Indian meals from DEL either!

Also, according to the always-up-to-date www.aa.com. the DEL ticketing office at the airport is still open from 10am to 2pm! Source

There is a similar thread for pre-order of Buy on Board (BoB) meals in coach, but this is the first I've seen of this for F meals. Definitely like it.

Cheers.

Hope they roll it out internationally as well. Sure beats calling to request a special meal.

No wonder they couldn't make a go of it.

I understand that there is no certified kosher catering in Delhi, but other foreign airlines offer the option simply by carrying the meals with them on the inbound. This would have been too complicated for AA to achieve.

Sorry, OT.
